Together with all the HIA-LI business partners we really can make a difference in the lives of families in need this summer. Helping is easy! There’s three ways to get involved:
Shop for your donation online.
Visit our food drive home page and click SHOP NOW to purchase the food you would like to donate. You’ll get a tax receipt at the time of purchase & at the end of the drive, all food ordered online will be shipped directly to Long Island Cares. All online costs include shipping, handling and tax.
Stop by our office & drop-off your donation.
Non-perishable food donations are welcome, and we have collection boxes set up at our office. Check out this list of the top 10 most-requested items & general list of needed items for ideas on what will make the biggest impact. We’re accepting donations during normal business hours (M-F, 9-6.)
Host your own virtual food drive.
Are you looking for fast and easy ways to provide rewarding volunteer opportunities to employees? Worried it’s a lot of extra work & not sure how you’ll manage it, on top of your regular workload? Now it’s easier than ever before. Host a VIRTUAL food drive this summer to support Long Island Cares Annual Summer Food Drive, sponsored by the Hauppauge Industrial Association- Long Island. Virtually all you need to do is register your business… and then spread the word. The Summer Food Drive runs through August 31st, 2017. It’s not too late to participate and make an impact that improves the lives of others.
